The Houston Roughnecks signed tight end Cam Sutton and defensive back Armani Marsh on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Cam Sutton is six foot six and weighs 226 pounds. The 26-year-old from Moreno Valley, California, signed with the Memphis Showboats on March 5, 2024. However, he was released on March 23, 2024.
Sutton signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2020. In 2021, Sutton signed with the Seattle Seahawks and played three preseason games making four catches for 12 yards.
Then, Sutton signed with the Vegas Vipers (XFL) on January 6, 2023. In 2023, Sutton made 12 catches for 140 yards in nine games.
Collegiately, Sutton played one season at Riverside Community College in 2017 making 14 catches for 287 yards, and seven touchdowns in nine games for the Tigers. Then, he transferred to Fresno State (2018-19) making nine catches for 154 yards, two carries for 34 yards, and one kick return for four yards in 25 games for the Bulldogs.
Armani Marsh is five foot nine and weighs 182 pounds. The 25-year-old from Spokane, Washington, signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 15, 2023. He played three preseason games making 10 tackles (3 solo, 7 assists) earning a spot on the practice squad. The Titans released Marsh on October 9, 2023.
Collegiately, Marsh played five seasons at Washington State (2018-22) making 184 tackles (127 solo, 57 assists), 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions for 47 yards, one touchdown, 17 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 46 games for the Cougars. He was named a two-time All-PAC 12 Honorable Mention.
