The San Antonio Brahmas released offensive lineman Chuck Filiaga on Wednesday as he is signing with an NFL team according to the UFL Transactions page. According to Aaron Wilson, Filiaga worked out for the Minnesota Vikings.
Chuck Filiaga is six foot six and weighs 321 pounds. The 26-year-old from Aledo, Texas, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on January 19, 2024. He played 10 games, of which 7 were starts. In 2024, San Antonio’s offense ranked fourth in total yards (2,966), rushing yards (962), yards per game (296.6), third in passing yards (2,004), and tied for fifth in touchdowns (24).
Filiaga signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. The Packers released him on August 1, 2023, and he was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints on August 2, 2023. The Saints released him on August 29, 2023.
Collegiately, Filiaga played five seasons at Michigan (2017-21) playing left guard and right guard in 39 games, of which 10 were starts for the Wolverines. Then, Filiaga transferred to Minnesota in 2022 playing right guard in 13 games for the Golden Gophers. Minnesota’s offense rushed for 2,698 yards and 33 touchdowns and one that passed for 2,369 yards and 12 touchdowns.
