The Winnipeg Blue Bombers placed linebacker Adam Bighill (Hamstring) on the six-game injured list on Thursday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Adam Bighill is five foot ten and weighs 241 pounds. The 35-year-old from Montesano, Washington, injured his hamstring in the second quarter of last Sunday’s game against the B.C. Lions. This season, Bighill made 46 tackles and one sack in 9 games.

Adam Bighill played six seasons for the B.C. Lions (2011-16) making 500 tackles, 70 tackles on special teams, 33 sacks, 8 interceptions for 115 yards, one touchdown, 8 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 99 games. He helped the Lions win the Grey Cup in 2011.

Next, Bighill signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2017, playing three games making one tackle. On May 14, 2018, the Saints released him and Bighill signed with the Blue Bombers five days later on May 19, 2018. In six seasons, Bighill has 428 tackles, one tackle on special teams, 13 sacks, 7 interceptions, and one touchdown in 90 games.

Bighill is a three-time Grey Cup champion, three-time CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player (2015,2018,2021), three-time Norm Fieldgate Trophy winner (2015,2018,2021), eight-time CFL West All-Star (2012-16, 2018, 2021-22), and a six-time CFL All-Star (2012-13, 2015-16, 2018,2021).

Collegiately, Bighill played four seasons at Central Washington (2007-10) making 314 tackles (163 solo,151 assists), 46 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and seven interceptions in 44 games for the Wildcats. He was named First Team All-GNAC in 2010, GNAC co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2010, First Team AFCA All-American in 2010, and two-time Second Team All-GNAC (2008-09).
