B.C. Lions place DL Pete Robertson and DL Francis Bemiy Jr. on the six-game injured list

The B.C. Lions placed defensive lineman Pete Robertson (Foot) and Francis Bemiy Jr. (Knee) on the six-game injured list on Friday.

Pete Robertson is six foot two and weighs 243 pounds. The 31-year-old from Longview, Texas, signed with the B.C. Lions on February 13, 2024. This season, Robertson made 17 tackles and two sacks in 10 games.

Robertson signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He also had stints with the Washington Redskins twice and Arizona Cardinals playing a combined six NFL regular season games with four tackles (2 solo, 2 assists).

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Robertson as a free agent on January 7, 2021. In three seasons, Robertson made 86 tackles, two tackles on special teams, 21 sacks, one interception, and six forced fumbles in 42 games. In 2023, he made 55 tackles, seven sacks, and one forced fumble in 17 games.

Collegiately, Robertson played five seasons at Texas Tech (2011-15) with 202 tackles (125 solo, 77 assists), 33 tackles for loss, 18.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for 21 yards, one touchdown, eight pass breakups, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one blocked punt in 47 games for the Red Raiders.

Francis Bemiy Jr. is six foot four and weighs 270 pounds. The 25-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the B.C. Lions in the first round (9th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. In his rookie season, he made 5 tackles in 9 games. Bemiy Jr. has yet to play this season.

Collegiately, Bemiy Jr. played five seasons at Southern Utah (2018-22) making 163 tackles (87 solo, 76 assists), 38.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one pass breakup, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 49 games for the Thunderbirds.
