The Houston Roughnecks re-signed offensive linemen Cam Carter and Isaiah Battle on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Cam Carter is six foot six and weighs 310 pounds. The 26-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama, played nine games for the New Jersey Generals (USFL) in 2023.

New Jersey ranked seventh in passing yards (1,620), fifth in passing touchdowns (11), first in rushing yards (1,342), and fourth in rushing touchdowns (10) in the 2023 season. The Generals signed Carter as a free agent on March 30, 2023.

The Houston Roughnecks signed Carter on February 28, 2024. In 2024, Carter played 10 games, of which 8 were starts. Houston’s offense ranked last in total touchdowns (17), seventh in total yards (2,550), rushing yards (744), yards per game (255.0), and fifth in passing yards (1,806).

Collegiately, Carter played four seasons at Murray State (2016-19) making four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist) in 38 games for the Racers.

Isaiah Battle is six foot seven and weighs 310 pounds. The 31-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, was drafted by the Houston Roughnecks in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft and was released on March 10, 2024. He re-signed with the Roughnecks on May 7, 2024.

Battle started two games for the Roughnecks in 2024. Houston’s offense ranked last in total touchdowns (17), seventh in total yards (2,550), rushing yards (744), yards per game (255.0), and fifth in passing yards (1,806).

The St. Louis Rams drafted Battle in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Supplemental Draft. He never played a game for the Rams. He later had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks, and Carolina Panthers. In 2020, he played two games for the Seattle Dragons (XFL).

The Pittsburgh Maulers drafted Battle in the sixth round (50th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft. He did not play for the Maulers in 2022. Battle was traded to the New Jersey Generals on October 20, 2022.

In 2023, Battle played five games, of which four were starts at tackle for the New Jersey Generals. New Jersey ranked seventh in passing yards (1,620), fifth in passing touchdowns (11), first in rushing yards (1,342), and fourth in rushing touchdowns (10).

Collegiately, Battle played three seasons at Clemson (2012-14), playing 27 games, of which 15 were starts for the Tigers. In 2014, he had 18 knockdowns in 824 snaps in 12 games.
