The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed running back SaRodorick Thompson Jr. on Tuesday.
SaRodorick Thompson Jr. is six foot and weighs 220 pounds. The 24-year-old from Irving, Texas, signed with the New Orleans Saints on April 29, 2023. He also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, and Los Angeles Rams. He played one game for the Seahawks in 2023.
Collegiately, Thompson Jr. played five seasons at Texas Tech (2018-22) with 540 carries for 2,664 yards, 40 touchdowns, 91 catches for 520 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 tackles (2 solo) in 50 games for the Red Raiders.
In 2022, Thompson Jr. had 139 carries for 684 yards, 7 touchdowns, 23 catches for 119 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games. He was named a three-time All-Big XII Honorable Mention and invited to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and the Reese’s Senior Bowl. His 41 touchdowns ranked among the all-time leaders.
