Larry Rountree III is five foot ten and weighs 210 pounds. The 25-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, signed with the Birmingham Stallions on January 19, 2024. In 2024, Rountree III had 16 carries for 88 yards, one touchdown, and 2 catches for 9 yards in 3 games. He did not play in the UFL playoffs when the Stallions won their third consecutive championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).
Rountree III was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the sixth round (198th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Los Angeles with 49 carries for 106 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 catches for 4 yards in 16 games.
The Chargers released him on August 14, 2023, and he signed with the Houston Texans on August 18, 2023. He was released by the Texans on September 12, 2024.
Collegiately, Rountree III played four seasons at Missouri (2017-20) with 746 carries for 3,720 yards, 40 touchdowns, 47 catches for 289 yards, 25 kick returns for 538 yards, and 2 tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 48 games for the Tigers. He was named Second Team All-SEC in 2020.
