Edmonton Elks sign OL Clayton Bradley and DB Jalen Green

The Edmonton Elks signed offensive lineman Clayton Bradley and defensive back Jalen Green to the practice squad and released wide receiver D’Marcus Adams and offensive lineman Tairiq Stewart on Tuesday.

Clayton Bradley is six foot six and weighs 310 pounds. The 27-year-old from Orange, California, played nine games for the San Diego Strike Force (IFL) in 2024. San Diego’s offense averaged 46.17 points per game, 38.3 rushing yards per game, 183.8 passing yards per game, and 108 touchdowns finishing 11-7 and lost to the eventual IFL champion Arizona Rattlers in the Western Conference Finals 58-23.

Bradley signed with the Montreal Alouettes on May 18, 2022, and spent time on the practice squad. Then, Bradley signed with the Memphis Showboats on March 4, 2023. He started two games. Memphis was ranked sixth in passing yards per game (172.4), sixth in passing touchdowns (10), sixth in rushing yards per game (85.9), and seventh in rushing touchdowns (4).

Collegiately, Bradley played five seasons at USC (2015-19) playing tackle in 17 games for the Trojans. Then, Bradley transferred to the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2020 playing left tackle in four games for the Rebels.

Jalen Green is six foot one and weighs 200 pounds. The 25-year-old from Houston, Texas, signed with the Houston Gamblers (USFL) in June 2023 but did not see any action. Then, Green signed with the Edmonton Elks on January 17, 2024. He was released by the Elks on May 11, 2024.

Collegiately, Green played three seasons at Texas (2018-20) with 46 tackles (33 solo, 13 assists), three tackles for loss, one interception for 41 yards, and eight pass breakups in 30 games for the Longhorns. Then, he transferred to Mississippi State (2021-22) with 91 tackles (45 solo, 46 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions for 29 yards, 15 pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries in 25 games for the Bulldogs. After the 2022 season, Green played in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in January 2023.

D’Marcus Adams is six foot and weighs 182 pounds. The 24-year-old from Ormond Beach, Florida, attended the Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp in 2024. Adams signed with the Edmonton Elks on August 12, 2024, and spent a couple of weeks on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Adams started at Florida State (2018-19) but did not play for the Seminoles. However, Adams competed in track and field finishing sixth in the Crimson Tide Invitational and 10th at the ACC Championships.

Next, he transferred to Florida Atlantic University (2020-21) making three catches for 94 yards, 10 kick returns for 236 yards, and one tackle (1 assist) in 17 games for the Owls. Then, Adams transferred to Syracuse (2022-23) making 7 catches for 186 yards, two touchdowns, 6 kick returns for 93 yards, and 16 punt returns for 119 yards in 11 games for the Orange.

Tairiq Stewart is six foot six and weighs 300 pounds. The 24-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio, went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft and attended the New England Patriots rookie minicamp. Then, Stewart signed with the Edmonton Elks on May 16, 2024. He appeared in the two preseason games playing left tackle earning a spot on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Stewart played two seasons at ASA Brooklyn College (2018-19) playing 12 games for the Avengers. In 2019, ASA Brooklyn College’s offense averaged 46.7 points per game, which was second-best in the nation, 463.4 yards per game, which was fourth-best in the country, and 254.6 rushing yards per game, ranking second-best in the nation. The Avengers finished the season 8-2.

Next, Stewart transferred to West Virginia in 2020 but he did not play for the Mountaineers. Then, Stewart transferred to North Carolina A&T (2021-23) playing right tackle in 29 games for the Aggies. In 2022, North Carolina A&T’s running backs rushed for 2,042 yards, and Stewart was named First Team All-Big South.

In 2023, North Carolina A&T’s offense averaged 16.09 points per game, 159.2 rushing yards per game, 104.91 passing yards per game, 264.1 total yards per game, and 21 touchdowns. He was named to the Second Team All-CAA in 2023. After the season, he participated in the 2024 HBCU Legacy Bowl.
