The Calgary Stampeders released fullback Lucas Robertson from the practice squad on Thursday.

Lucas Robertson is six foot four and weighs 235 pounds. The 22-year-old from Edmonton, Alberta, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders drafted Robertson in the eighth round (69th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. He played one preseason game in 2023 against the Edmonton Elks with one carry for nine yards earning a spot on the practice squad.

In the 2024 preseason, Robertson made one catch for 9 yards against the B.C. Lions. This season, Robertson made one catch for 13 yards in 8 games. 

Robertson played four seasons at the University of British Columbia (2019, 2021-23) with 28 catches for 223 yards, one touchdown, one kick return for 10 yards, and eight tackles (5 solo, 3 assists) in 28 games for the Thunderbirds.

In the playoffs, Robertson made 11 catches for 92 yards helping UBC reach the Vanier Cup. Robertson earned Canada West and U Sports All-Star honors in 2023.
