The St. Louis Battlehawks signed defensive back D’Angelo Mandell on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.

D’Angelo Mandell is six foot one and weighs 192 pounds. The 25-year-old from San Diego, California, signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023.

He played three preseason games making 7 tackles (4 solo, 3 assists) and one pass breakup. The Cowboys released him on August 29, 2023, and he signed with the Washington Commanders on January 2, 2024. The Commanders released him on May 7, 2024.

Collegiately, Mandell played five seasons at BYU (2018-22) making 90 tackles (56 solo, 34 assists), four tackles for loss, and six pass breakups in 56 games for the Cougars. His career best season for BYU came in 2021 making 36 tackles (25 solo, 11 assists), one tackle for loss, and four pass breakups in 13 games.
