The NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying on Saturday afternoon from the Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wisconsin, to set the field for Saturday night’s Milwaukee Mile 250.

Team Penske driver Scott McLaughlin won his fifth pole of the season and the tenth pole of his career with a lap time of 22.5082 seconds at 162.341 mph. Starting second is his teammate Josef Newgarden with a lap time of 22.6058 at 161.640 mph.

Seven drivers were issued a nine-position starting grid penalty for unapproved engine changes. They are Conor Daly, Christian Rasmussen, Josef Newgarden, Nolan Siegel, Marcus Armstrong, Pietro Fittipaldi, and Christian Lundgaard.
