The NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying on Saturday afternoon from the Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wisconsin, to set the field for Saturday night’s Milwaukee Mile 250.

Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden won his second pole of the season and the 18th of his career with a lap time of 22.6980 seconds at 160.983 mph. Starting second his teammate Scott McLaughlin with a lap of 22.7080 seconds at 160.912 mph.

Seven drivers were issued a nine-position starting grid penalty for unapproved engine changes. They are Conor Daly, Christian Rasmussen, Josef Newgarden, Nolan Siegel, Marcus Armstrong, Pietro Fittipaldi, and Christian Lundgaard.
