Final Thoughts:

The Edmonton Elks continue to play some of its best football of the season and have found themselves in the playoff race. McLeod Bethel-Thompson had a good game throwing nearly 500 yards and the offense was rolling after a slow start in the first quarter. Their defense did a solid job pressuring Jake Maier to get four interceptions. A job well done for Edmonton.

As for the Calgary Stampeders, I’ve been saying that Jake Maier needs to be replaced at quarterback. The team is not good with him in there and they would be better having Tommy Stevens, Matthew Shiltz, or Logan Bonner in there. Calgary’s management has got to be frustrated with Maier but this is on them for not benching Maier. They must love losing because they won’t replace Maier and I feel for the Calgary fans.

In addition to Maier, Dave Dickenson barely used the running game which he should’ve done more and maybe the outcome would have been different. The only players to have a good gameis game were Reggie Begelton and Payton Logan on special teams. Lastly, Calgary needs a complete makeover right now with a new front office, coach, and quarterback. Until that happens, this team will continue to lose games.
