Houston Roughnecks sign tight end Geor’Quarius Spivey

The Houston Roughnecks signed tight end Geor’Quarius Spivey on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Geor’Quarius Spivey is six foot five and weighs 245 pounds. The 24-year-old from Monroe, Louisiana, attended the New York Giants rookie minicamp before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on August 2, 2024.

He made one catch for 7 yards in three preseason games. The Chiefs released him on August 26, 2024. Spivey was drafted by the Houston Roughnecks in the tenth round (74th pick) of the 2024 UFL College Draft.

Collegiately, Spivey played two seasons at Mississippi State (2019-20) making 14 catches for 153 yards in 24 games for the Bulldogs. He was named a two-time SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. Then, Spivey transferred to TCU (2021-22) making 14 catches for 145 yards, and one touchdown in 24 games for the Horned Frogs.
