San Antonio Brahmas re-sign four players including WR Marquez Stevenson

The San Antonio Brahmas re-signed wide receiver Marquez Stevenson, offensive linemen Chuck Filiaga and Sam Tecklenburg, and defensive back Jordan Mosley on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Marquez Stevenson is five foot ten and weighs 180 pounds. The 26-year-old from Shreveport, Louisiana, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on January 19, 2024. In 2024, he made 33 catches for 265 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games.

The Buffalo Bills drafted Stevenson in the sixth round (203rd pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. Stevenson also had stints with the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers. He played five NFL games for the Bills making 14 catches for 132 yards, seven punt returns for 165 yards.

Collegiately, Stevenson played four seasons at Houston (2016, 2018-20) making 147 catches for 2,269 yards, 22 touchdowns, 26 carries for 231 yards, two touchdowns, 34 kick returns for 889 yards, three touchdowns, and four punt returns for 20 yards in 32 games for the Cougars. He was named a two-time First Team All-AAC.

Chuck Filiaga is six foot six and weighs 321 pounds. The 26-year-old from Aledo, Texas, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on January 19, 2024. He played 10 games, of which 7 were starts. In 2024, San Antonio’s offense ranked fourth in total yards (2,966), rushing yards (962), yards per game (296.6), third in passing yards (2,004), and tied for fifth in touchdowns (24).

After the season, the Brahmas released him on August 21, 2024, and he signed with the Minnesota Vikings on August 22, 2024. He played one preseason game for the Vikings before the Vikings released him on August 26, 2024.

Filiaga signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. The Packers released him on August 1, 2023, and he was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints on August 2, 2023. The Saints released him on August 29, 2023.

Collegiately, Filiaga played five seasons at Michigan (2017-21) playing left guard and right guard in 39 games, of which 10 were starts for the Wolverines. Then, Filiaga transferred to Minnesota in 2022 playing right guard in 13 games for the Golden Gophers. Minnesota’s offense rushed for 2,698 yards and 33 touchdowns and one that passed for 2,369 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Sam Tecklenburg is six foot four and weighs 310 pounds. The 27-year-old from Plano, Texas, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on February 28, 2024. He played 10 games, of which 8 were starts in 2024.

In 2024, San Antonio’s offense ranked fourth in total yards (2,966), rushing yards (962), yards per game (296.6), third in passing yards (2,004), and tied for fifth in touchdowns (24).

The Carolina Panthers signed Tecklenburg as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He spent four seasons with the Panthers playing 17 regular season games and spent the rest of his tenure on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Tecklenburg played five seasons at Baylor (2015-19) starting as a tight end for two seasons making three catches for 40 yards, and one touchdown before becoming an offensive lineman in 2017 playing center. He was named Second Team Academic All-Big 12 in 2018.

Jordan Mosley is six foot and weighs 201 pounds. The 24-year-old from Havertown, Pennsylvania, was drafted by the Brahmas in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. In 2024, Mosley made 75 tackles (49 solo, 26 assists), 2 tackles for loss, half a sack, one interception, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 10 games. In the 2024 UFL playoffs, Mosley made one tackle (1 assist) in one game.

Mosley signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent on May 16, 2022. He was released on May 26, 2022. The Houston Roughnecks (XFL) drafted Mosley in the seventh round (53rd pick) of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, Mosley made 39 tackles (21 solo, 16 assists), two tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 10 games.

Collegiately, Mosley played four seasons at Maryland (2018-21) making 201 tackles (133 solo, 68 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception for 13 yards, 14 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 40 games for the Terrapins. He was named an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2021.
