The Calgary Stampeders released defensive back Kenyon Reed from the practice squad on Thursday.

Kenyon Reed is six foot and weighs 180 pounds. The 23-year-old from Sacramento, California, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on May 1, 2024. He played two preseason games making one tackle and earning a spot on the practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster on August 3, 2024. Reed played three games making 10 tackles and one sack before returning to the practice squad on September 1, 2024.

Collegiately, Reed was a redshirt freshman at Kansas State in 2019 before transferring to San Jose State University (2020-23) with 105 tackles (79 solo, 26 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, 12 pass breakups, two interceptions for 58 yards, one touchdown, four kick returns for 27 yards, and 12 punt returns for 95 yards in 37 games for the Spartans.
