On Saturday, Memphis Showboats wide receiver Diondre Overton was shot and killed in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Overton signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL) on June 29, 2021, and spent a month on the practice squad before he was released on July 26, 2021. He later signed with the Vienna Vikings (ELF) but was released.

He was named to the All-ACC Academic Team in 2019. During his time at Clemson, the Tigers won two National Championships in 2016 and 2018.

All of us at BGMSportsTrax send our condolences to Overton’s family, teammates, fans, and friends.
