Temple gets demolished by Navy for their second straight loss

The Temple Owls (0-2) visited the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon against the Navy Midshipmen (2-0). Temple had 312 yards (277 yards passing, 35 yards rushing) and 16 first downs but the Owls lost to the Midshipmen 38-11.

Temple quarterback Forrest Brock completed 30 of 46 passes (65.2%) for 277 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Running back Antwain Littleton had 9 carries for 22 yards and one catch for three yards.

Wide receiver Dante Wright made 11 catches for 101 yards, and one touchdown, and Ashton Allen made two catches for 54 yards. Temple’s defense made 68 tackles and one pass breakup.

Navy had 409 yards on offense (112 yards passing, 297 yards rushing) and 17 first downs. Quarterback Blake Horvath completed 5 of 9 passes (55%) for 112 yards, one touchdown, 15 carries for 122 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Alex Tecza had nine carries for 92 yards and one touchdown.

Navy running back Eli Heidenreich made four catches for 98 yards and one touchdown, and tight end Myles Slade made one catch for 14 yards. Navy’s defense made 80 tackles, seven tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, and five pass breakups.
