The Houston Roughnecks signed offensive lineman Nick Correia and released defensive back Gavin Robertson Jr. on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Nick Correia is six foot six and weighs 330 pounds. A native of Nantucket, Massachusetts, went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. He attended the Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins rookie minicamps.
Collegiately, Correia played six seasons at Rhode Island (2018-23) playing right guard in 50 games for the Rams. In 2023, Correia was part of an offensive line that helped the Rams finish 10th in the nation in passing offense (284.8 yards per game). In 2022, Rhode Island’s offense blocked for the third-highest scoring offense in the league (30.6 points/game).
Gavin Robertson Jr. is six foot one and weighs 215 pounds. A native of Auburn, Washington, Robertson Jr. went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. He signed with the Houston Roughnecks on August 8, 2024.
Collegiately, Robertson Jr. played one season at Arizona in 2017 making two tackles (2 solo) and one pass breakup in three games for the Wildcats. Then, Robertson Jr. transferred to Montana (2018-21) making 158 tackles (84 solo, 74 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, five interceptions, nine pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 37 games for the Grizzlies. He was named the co-recipient of the team’s Pat Norwood Award in 2021.
