Delaware crushes North Carolina A&T for their second win of the season

The Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens (2-0) visited Truist Stadium on Saturday against the North Carolina A&T Aggies (1-2). Delaware had 526 yards on offense (325 yards passing, 201 yards rushing) and 32 first downs to blow out the Aggies 42-13.

Quarterback Ryan O’Connor completed 23 of 41 passes (56.1%) for 325 yards, four carries for 478 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Saeed St. Fleur had 8 carries for 45 yards, Marcus Yarns had 8 carries for 40 yards, and one touchdown, and Jo’Nathan Silver had 7 carries for 24 yards, and one touchdown.

Wide receiver Phil Lutz made three catches for 95 yards, and one touchdown, and Caleb Fauria made two catches for 49 yards. Kicker Nate Reed made one field goal for 41 yards. Delaware’s defense made 59 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception, and three pass breakups.

North Carolina A&T had 264 yards on offense (190 yards passing, 74 yards rushing), and 21 first downs. Quarterback Kevin White completed 14 of 25 passes (56%) for 145 yards, and eight carries for 21 yards. Backup quarterback Justin Fomby completed 5 of 10 passes (50%) for 45 yards, and one interception.

Running back Wesley Graves had 14 carries for 37 yards and two catches for 33 yards. Wide receiver Jayvonne Dillard made five catches for 71 yards, and Jamison Warren made four catches for 35 yards. Kicker Andrew Brown made 2 of 2 field goals with a long of 42 yards. North Carolina A&T’s defense made 65 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, and four pass breakups.
