Ottawa Redblacks LB Adarius Pickett to miss the rest of the 2024 season

Ottawa Redblacks Head Coach Bob Dyce announced on Tuesday that linebacker Adarius Pickett will miss the rest of the 2024 season with a season-ending Achilles injury.

Adarius Pickett is five foot eleven and weighs 210 pounds. The 28-year-old from Berkeley, California, signed with the Ottawa Redblacks on February 5, 2024. In 2024, Pickett made 52 tackles, 14 tackles on special teams, one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble in 13 games.

Pickett signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He also spent time with the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers.

Next, Pickett signed with the Montreal Alouettes on June 9, 2021. He played two seasons for Montreal with 96 tackles, 19 tackles on special teams, five sacks, two interceptions, one touchdown, and three forced fumbles in 30 games.

Then, Pickett signed with the Toronto Argonauts on February 14, 2023. In 2023, Pickett made 105 tackles, 19 tackles on special teams, six sacks, and one forced fumble in 18 games for the Argonauts in 2023 on his way to being named a CFL East-All Star and CFL All-Star.

Collegiately, Pickett played four seasons at UCLA (2015-18) with 274 tackles (191 solo, 83 assists), five tackles for loss, seven interceptions for 35 yards, 20 pass breakups, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, one blocked kick, and 23 punt returns for 199 yards in 50 games for the Bruins. He was named Second Team All-PAC 12 by the coaches in 2018.
