Ottawa Redblacks sign six players including wide receiver Lincoln Victor

The Ottawa Redblacks signed wide receiver Lincoln Victor, offensive linemen Kendrick Sartor and Darta Lee, defensive lineman Darius Hodges, linebacker Cam Bright, and defensive back Clay Fields III to the practice squad on Wednesday.

Lincoln Victor is five foot nine and weighs 177 pounds. The 23-year-old from Maui, Hawaii, signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024, but was released on May 13, 2024.

Collegiately, Victor played two seasons at Hawaii (2019-20) making 12 catches for 103 yards, three touchdowns, two carries for 49 yards, and 23 kick returns for 511 yards in 17 games for the Rainbow Warriors.

Then, Victor transferred to Washington State (2021-23) making 137 catches for 1,401 yards, seven touchdowns, eight carries for 12 yards, one touchdown, completed 1 of 4 passes (25%) for 39 yards, 27 kick returns for 542 yards, 11 tackles (8 solo, 3 assists), one tackle for loss, and one forced fumble in 37 games for the Cougars.

Kendrick Sartor is six foot seven and weighs 316 pounds. The 25-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on May 2, 2023. He started six games for the Ticats in 2023 playing right tackle.

Hamilton’s offense finished seventh in points per game (22.7), fifth in offensive points per game (20.9), fifth in offensive touchdowns (35), fourth in net offense per game (352.0), seventh in rushing yards per game (96.7), and four in sacks allowed (46).

He re-signed with the Ticats on November 28, 2023. He played in two preseason games for the Ticats in 2024 and was released on June 1, 2024.

Collegiately, Sartor played six seasons at Marshall University (2017-22) starting 24 games at right tackle in 33 games for the Thundering Herd. In 2020, he played six games including the C-USA Championship Game and the Camellia Bowl.

In 2022, Sartor started 12 of 13 games for the Marshall Thundering Herd in 2022 playing right tackle. Marshall’s offense averaged 205.9 rushing yards per game, 192 yards passing per game, and 5,173 total yards. Marshall played in the 2022 Myrtle Beach Bowl and defeated the Connecticut Huskies 28-14. Sartor won the team’s President’s Award in 2022.

Darta Lee is six foot three and weighs 313 pounds. The 26-year-old from Alief, Texas, spent time with the Arlington Renegades (XFL), and later signed with the Memphis Showboats (USFL) on May 9, 2023, and appeared in one game before spending the rest of the season on injured reserve.

The Toronto Argonauts signed Lee on April 24, 2024. He played left tackle in two preseason games before the Argonauts released him on June 2, 2024.

Collegiately, Lee played one season at Illinois in 2016 playing guard in six games for the Fighting Illini. He was the first Illini true freshman to start on the offensive line in the season opener in at least 20 seasons. Next, Lee transferred to Kilgore College in 2017 finishing the season averaging 368.1 yards per game, 268.4 rushing yards per game, 199.7 passing yards per game, and 26.2 points per game.

Then, Lee transferred to UTEP (2018-20) playing left tackle in 30 games for Miners. In 2020, UTEP’s offensive line helped pave the way for a rushing attack that scored 16 touchdowns and surpassed 1,000 yards on the season.

Darius Hodges is six foot two and weighs 280 pounds. The 23-year-old from Montgomery, Alabama, signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2024, but was released on May 14, 2024.

Collegiately, Hodges played four seasons at Tulane (2020-23) making 114 tackles (84 solo, 30 assists), 34 tackles for loss, 18.5 sacks, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 46 games for the Green Wave. In 2023, Hodges made 25 tackles (20 solo, 5 assists), 9.5 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks in 13 games. He was named Second Team All-AAC in 2022.

Cam Bright is six foot and weighs 222 pounds. The 25-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio, made two tackles (2 solo) in three preseason games for the Cleveland Browns in 2023. The Seattle Seahawks signed Bright as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023.

The Calgary Stampeders signed Bright on February 14, 2024. He played in two preseason games making four tackles and two tackles on special teams. The Stampeders released him on June 1, 2024.

Collegiately, Bright played four seasons at Pittsburgh (2018-21) making 186 tackles (110 solo, 76 assists), 24.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks, one interception, one touchdown, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 52 games for the Panthers.

Then, he transferred to Washington in 2022 making 60 tackles (31 solo, 29 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception, and one pass breakup in 13 games for the Huskies. He was named an All-PAC 12 Honorable Mention and Third Team All-PAC 12 by Phil Steele in 2022.

Clay Fields III is five foot ten and weighs 211 pounds. The 24-year-old from Franklin, New Jersey, signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent on June 6, 2024. He played two preseason games making two tackles (2 solo). The Colts released him on August 25, 2024.

Collegiately, Fields III played five seasons at Marist College (2018-22) making 169 tackles (75 solo, 94 assists), five tackles for loss, half a sack, seven interceptions for 166 yards, one touchdown, 20 pass breakups, one fumble recovery, 11 kick returns for 176 yards, 20 punt returns for 191 yards, and one touchdown in 32 games for the Red Foxes. He was named a two-time First Team All-PLL (2021-22) and Third Team FCS All-American in 2021.

Then Fields III transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2023 making 49 tackles (36 solo, 13 assists), two tackles for loss, one interception, nine pass breakups, and one quarterback hit in 12 games for the Mocs.
