The Memphis Showboats re-signed linebacker Terrill Hanks on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Terrill Hanks is six foot two and weighs 241 pounds. The 28-year-old from Miami, Florida, signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2019. He spent the season on the practice squad.

Then, Hanks was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the 30th round (247th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft. Hanks made 13 tackles (6 solo, 7 assists), two tackles for loss, and three pass breakups in nine games for the Stallions in 2022 as Birmingham went on to win the USFL Championship over the Philadelphia Stars.

Next, Hanks was drafted by the D.C. Defenders in the seventh round (54th pick) of the 2023 XFL Supplemental Draft. However, the Defenders released him and Hanks signed with the San Antonio Brahmas. In 2023, Hanks made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in six games for the Brahmas.

In 2024, Hanks was set to play for the Basel Gladiators Switzerland. Instead, he signed with the Memphis Showboats on May 8, 2024. He made eight tackles (3 solo, 5 assists) and one tackle for loss in two games.

Collegiately, Hanks played four seasons at New Mexico State (2015-18) making 389 tackles (160 solo, 229 assists), 42.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, eight interceptions for 47 yards, one touchdown, 22 pass breakups, six forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 45 games for the Aggies. He was named Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference by Phil Steele and an All-Sun Belt Conference Honorable Mention in 2017.
