The Toronto Argonauts signed defensive lineman Jalen Green, linebacker Clayton Glasco, and defensive backs Derek Slywka and Willie Drew Jr. to the practice squad on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Jalen Green is six foot one and weighs 245 pounds. The 23-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Collegiately, Green played four seasons at James Madison University (2019, 2021-23) making 97 tackles (41 solo, 56 assists), 31.5 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, two interceptions for 24 yards, one touchdown, four pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 47 games for the Dukes.

In 2023, Green made 50 tackles (23 solo, 27 assists), 21 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, one interception for 24 yards, one touchdown, two pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in nine games before a knee injury sidelined him for the rest of the season.

He was named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference, First Team All-American, Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year, College Football Network Player of the Year, and the winner of the Dudley Award (Top NCAA Player in the Commonwealth of Virginia).

Clayton Glasco is six foot and weighs 225 pounds. A native of Pickerington, Ohio, Glasco signed with the Bay Area Panthers (IFL) on December 21, 2021. In 2022, Glasco made 42 tackles (25 solo, 17 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery in seven games.

Then, Glasco signed with the San Diego Strike Force (IFL) in 2023. In 2023, Glasco made 40 tackles (28 solo, 24 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, and two pass breakups in nine games.

Collegiately, Glasco played two seasons at Monroe College (2016-17) making 82 tackles (44 solo, 38 assists), 12 tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception for 9 yards, one pass breakup, two blocked kicks, one kick return for 10 yards, and two punt returns for 24 yards in 15 games for the Mustangs. He was named First All-NEC in 2017.

Then, Glasco transferred to Indiana State (2018-19) making 117 tackles (60 solo, 57 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one interception for three yards, and two pass breakups in 20 games for the Sycamores. He was an All-MFVC Honorable Mention in 2019.

Derek Slywka is six foot three and weighs 215 pounds. The 23-year-old from Waterloo, New York, signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent on June 6, 2024. He played three preseason games as a wide receiver making two catches for 27 yards. The Colts released him on August 25, 2024.

Collegiately, Slywka played three seasons at Ithaca College (2021-23) making 119 tackles (64 solo, 55 assists), seven tackles for loss, 11 interceptions for 165 yards, one touchdown, 30 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and four blocked kicks in 34 games for the Bombers.

He was named a two-time First Team All-American, D3football.com Region 2 Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-Liberty League in 2023 after making 51 tackles (27 solo, 24 assists), two tackles for loss, six interceptions for 71 yards, 16 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two blocked kicks in 12 games.

Willie Drew Jr. is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from Smithfield, Virginia, signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, Drew Jr. played two preseason games recording no stats. The Panthers released him on August 27, 2024.

Collegiately, Drew Jr. played two seasons at James Madison University (2018-19) making 9 tackles (5 solo, 4 assists) and two pass breakups in 11 games for the Dukes.

Then, Drew Jr. transferred to Virginia State (2021-23) making 99 tackles (74 solo, 25 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, 11 interceptions for 54 yards, one touchdown, 39 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one kick return for nine yards in 28 games for the Trojans. He was named First Team All-CIAA, First Team All-American, and the CIAA Defensive Player of the Year.
