Houston Roughnecks sign offensive lineman Ethan Carde

The Houston Roughnecks signed offensive lineman Ethan Carde on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Ethan Carde is six foot eight and weighs 311 pounds. A native of Tampa, Florida, Carde went undrafted in the 2024 NFL and attended the Denver Broncos rookie minicamp in 2024.

Collegiately, Carde played one season at Coffeyville Community College in 2019 playing eight games for the Red Ravens. Next, Carde transferred to Texas Tech (2020-22) playing left tackle in 29 games for the Red Raiders. In 2022, Carde played 275 snaps, grading out at 54.4 overall by Pro Football Focus, and was named Second Team All-Big 12 Academic Team.

Then, Carde transferred to Boise State in 2023 playing left tackle, left guard, and tight end in 13 games for the Broncos. He posted a season-best Pro Football Focus score of 87.7 against San Jose State. He was named to the Academic All-Mountain West in 2023.
