B.C. Lions place wide receiver Alexander Hollins on the six-game injured list

The B.C. Lions announced on Thursday that wide receiver Alexander Hollins (Shoulder) has been placed on the six-game injured list. Hollins suffered a shoulder injury a couple of weeks ago against the Toronto Argonauts.

Alexanders Hollins is six foot and weighs 175 pounds. The 27-year-old from Yazoo City, Mississippi, made 56 catches for 881 yards, and five touchdowns in 14 games this season.

Hollins signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2019. In 2019, Hollins made two catches for 46 yards in five games, of which one was a start. On December 28, 2020, the Cleveland Browns signed Hollins off of Minnesota’s practice squad. The Browns released him on December 21, 2021.

The B.C. Lions signed Hollins as a free agent on February 17, 2022. In 2022, Hollins made 13 catches for 117 yards, and one touchdown in four games. In 2023, Hollins made 78 catches for 1,173 yards, nine touchdowns, and one carry for 11 yards in 18 games for the Lions in 2023. He was named a CFL West All-Star after the season.

Collegiately, Hollins played two seasons at Copiah-Lincoln Community College (2015-16) making 26 catches for 474 yards, five touchdowns, two carries for 12 yards, and 16 kick returns for 357 yards in 17 games for the Wolves.

Then, he transferred to Eastern Illinois University (2017-18) making 126 catches for 1,784 yards, 23 touchdowns, eight carries for 62 yards, and four kick returns for 57 yards in 22 games for the Panthers. He was named First Team All-OVC and First Team All-American by Phil Steele in 2018.
