The Temple Owls (1-4) hosted the Army Black Knights (4-0) on Thursday night from Lincoln Financial Field. Temple had 219 yards on offense (224 yards passing, -5 yards rushing) and 12 first downs in a 42-14 loss to the Black Knights.

Temple quarterback Evan Simon completed 19 of 30 passes (63%) for 224 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and 15 carries for -18 yards. Running back Joquez Smith had four carries for 8 yards. Wide receiver Dante Wright made eight catches for 98 yards, and one touchdown, while Daniel Evert made two catches for 64 yards and one touchdown. Temple’s defense made 61 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two pass breakups.

Army had 489 yards on offense (72 yards passing, 417 yards rushing), and 23 first downs. Quarterback Bryson Daily completed 2 of 6 passes (33%) for 54 yards, 24 carries for 154 yards, and three touchdowns. Running back Kanye Udoh had 14 carries for 128 yards, and one touchdown, while Noah Short had five carries for 78 yards, one touchdown, and one catch for 27 yards.

Wide receiver Casey Reynolds made one catch for 27 yards, and Cam Schurr made one catch for 18 yards, and one touchdown. Army’s defense made 49 tackles, seven tackles for loss, seven sacks, one pass breakup, and one interception.
