Report: Arlington Renegades re-sign QB Holton Ahlers and WR Juwan Manigo

The Arlington Renegades are re-signing quarterback Holton Ahlers and wide receiver Juwan Manigo on Friday according to the X account UFL Analyst.

Holton Ahlers is six foot three and weighs 227 pounds. The 24-year-old from Greenville, North Carolina, signed with the Arlington Renegades on December 26, 2023. In 2024, he made one carry for -1 yard in three games.

Ahlers signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He completed 16 of 27 passes (59.3%) for 159 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and 15 carries for 76 yards in three preseason games, and earned a spot on the practice squad. The Seahawks released him on October 18, 2023.

Collegiately, Ahlers played five seasons at East Carolina University (2018-22) completing 1,127 of 1,857 passes (61%) for 13,938 yards, 97 touchdowns, 37 interceptions, 469 carries for 1,447 yards, 25 touchdowns, made three catches for 41 yards, one touchdown, two punts for 54 yards (27 AVG), one touchback, one from inside the 20-yard line, and four tackles (4 solo) in 55 games for the Pirates.

In the 2022 TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl, Ahlers completed 26 of 38 passes (68.4%) for 300 yards, five touchdowns, seven carries for 48 yards, one touchdown, and made one catch for 14 yards helping the Pirates beat the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 53-29. He was named the MVP.

Juwan Manigo is five foot seven and weighs 175 pounds. The 26-year-old from Windsor Mill, Maryland, signed with the Arlington Renegades on June 26, 2023. In 2024, Manigo made six catches for 32 yards, 43 kick returns for 954 yards, and 14 punt returns for 135 yards in 10 games.

Manigo played for the Caudillos (LFA) in 2022 and 2023. In 2022, Manigo made 42 catches for 900 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 2,174 all-purpose yards in nine games. He was named the Soy-Fam MVP. In 2023, he made 53 catches for 1,015 yards, 9 touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, 1,225 return yards, five special teams touchdowns, and 2,265 total yards.

Collegiately, Manigo played four seasons at Delaware Valley (2016-19) making 62 catches for 960 yards, 8 touchdowns, six carries for 40 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 35 games for the Aggies. He was named to the MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
