The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive back Keaton Ellis to the practice squad and placed wide receiver Jesiah Irish on the suspended list on Tuesday.

Keaton Ellis is five foot eleven and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from State College, Pennsylvania, signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, Ellis played three preseason games making six tackles (3 solo, 3 assists). The Titans released him on August 27, 2024.

Collegiately, Ellis played five seasons at Penn State (2019-23) making 86 tackles (58 solo, 31 assists), three tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, 14 pass breakups, and two interceptions in 56 games for the Nittany Lions.

Jesiah Irish is five foot eleven and weighs 174 pounds. The 24-year-old from Snoqualmie, Washington, attended the Seattle Seahawks rookie minicamp in 2024. The Calgary Stampeders signed Irish on September 29, 2024.

Collegiately, Irish played six seasons at Oregon State (2018-23) making 27 catches for 456 yards, two touchdowns, 18 carries for 114 yards, one touchdown, 22 kick returns for 478 yards, 16 punt returns for 135 yards, and 18 tackles (10 solo, 8 assists) in 56 games for the Beavers.

In 2023, Irish made 18 catches for 302 yards, one touchdown, five carries for 14 yards, one kick return for 29 yards, and five tackles (2 solo, 3 assists) in 12 games. He was named an All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention.
