The Montreal Alouettes re-signed wide receiver Cole Spieker to a two-year contract extension through the 2026 season on Tuesday.
Cole Spieker is six foot two and weighs 215 pounds. The 28-year-old from Brainerd, Minnesota, has made 49 catches for 710 yards, and seven touchdowns in 15 games this season.
Spieker played for the Conquerors (TSL) in 2021 making 17 catches for 217 yards, and two touchdowns in six games. The Montreal Alouettes signed Spieker on May 9, 2022. In 2022, he made six catches for 105 yards, and one touchdown in one game against the Toronto Argonauts.
In 2023, Spieker made 33 catches for 389 yards, and one touchdown in 12 games helping Montreal win the 110th Grey Cup against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Collegiately, Spieker played three seasons at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (2017-19) making 144 catches for 2,338 yards, 26 touchdowns, 17 carries for 97 yards, one touchdown, two punt returns for 90 yards, four touchdowns, and seven tackles (6 solo, 1 assist) in 30 games for the Eagles.
