Report: D.C. Defenders to sign defensive back Adam Sparks

The D.C. Defenders are signing defensive back Adam Sparks on Tuesday according to the X account UFL Analyst.

Adam Sparks is six foot and weighs 170 pounds. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sparks was drafted by the D.C. Defenders in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. The Defenders released him on March 10, 2024.

The Vegas Vipers (XFL) drafted Sparks in the 10th round (73rd pick) in Phase 2 of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, Sparks made 31 tackles (21 solo, 10 assists), three tackles for loss, four pass breakups, and one interception for seven yards in seven games.

Collegiately, Sparks played four seasons at Missouri (2017-20) making 99 tackles (74 solo, 25 assists), six tackles for loss, three interceptions for seven yards, 12 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 37 games for the Tigers.

Then, Sparks transferred to the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 2021 making 47 tackles (28 solo, 19 assists), three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in nine games for the Warhawks.
