The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed defensive lineman Benoit Marion to the practice squad on Wednesday.

Benoit Marion is six foot five and weighs 250 pounds. The 28-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, played one game for the Toronto Argonauts in 2024 making two tackles on special teams against the B.C. Lions. The Argonauts released Marion on June 11, 2024.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Marion on June 12, 2024. He made four tackles on special teams in eight games. The Tiger-Cats released him on September 11, 2024.

The Toronto Argonauts drafted Marion in the third round (25th pick) of the 2020 CFL Draft. In three seasons, Marion made seven tackles, 11 tackles on special teams, one sack, and two forced fumbles in 31 games. He is a member of the 2022 Toronto Grey Cup championship team. In 2023, Marion made one tackle, eight tackles on special teams, one sack, and two forced fumbles in 16 games for the Argonauts.

Collegiately, Marion played four seasons at the University of Montreal (2016-19) with 66 tackles (37 solo, 29 assists), 19.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups in 25 games for the Carabins.
