The St. Louis Battlehawks signed wide receiver Andy Isabella on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Andy Isabella is five foot nine and weighs 188 pounds. The 27-year-old from Mayfield, Ohio, was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round (62nd pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played four seasons in Arizona making 33 catches for 447 yards, three touchdowns, five carries for nine yards, eight kick returns for 166 yards, and one punt return for one yard in 39 games.
The Cardinals released him on October 4, 2022. Next, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens on October 10, 2022. He had one carry for one yard in two games. The Ravens released him on July 25, 2023. Then, Isabella signed with the Buffalo Bills on July 29, 2023. He appeared in two games. In the 2024 preseason, Isabella made one catch for 15 yards, and three kick returns for 55 yards in three games. The Bills released him on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Isabella played four seasons at UMass (2015-18) making 231 catches for 3,526 yards, 30 touchdowns, 40 carries for 342 yards, two touchdowns, 23 kick returns for 443 yards, nine punt returns for 77 yards, and four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist) in 24 games for the Minutemen.
He was named a two-time First Team All-Independent by Phil Steele, All-ECAC Second Team, First Team All-American by FWAA, Walter Camp, and AFCA, and the winner of the George H. “Bulger” Lowe Award (top player in New England; Gridiron Club of Greater Boston).
