The Hamilton Tiger-Cats released running back Lorenzo Lingard, wide receiver Daniel Arias, and defensive backs Demetries Ford, Robert Kennedy, and Decorian Patterson from the practice squad on Saturday.

Lorenzo Lingard is six foot and weighs 205 pounds. The 25-year-old from Orange City, Florida, signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024, but was released on August 4, 2024.

Then, he signed with the New York Giants on August 12, 2024. Lingard played two preseason games with two carries for 13 yards and one catch for six yards. The Giants released him on August 25, 2024. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Lingard on September 8, 2024. He spent a month on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Lingard played two seasons at Miami (FL) (2018-19) with 17 carries for 138 yards, two touchdowns, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in six games for the Hurricanes. Next, he transferred to Florida (2020-22) with 26 carries for 150 yards, one touchdown, three catches for 31 yards, and three tackles (1 solo, 2 assists) in 32 games for the Gators.

Then, Lingard transferred to Akron in 2023 with 143 carries for 641 yards, four touchdowns, 38 catches for 368 yards, two touchdowns, five kick returns for 52 yards, and two tackles (2 solo) in 12 games for the Zips.

Daniel Arias is six foot three and weighs 216 pounds. The 26-year-old from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He played three preseason games for the Cardinals making five catches for 75 yards.

He spent the 2023 season on both the Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs practice squads. In 2024, Arias played two preseason games recording no stats for Arizona. The Cardinals released him on August 21, 2024. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Arias on September 30, 2024. He spent a week on a practice squad.

Collegiately, Arias played five seasons at Colorado (2018-22) making 48 catches for 750 yards, four touchdowns, two carries for one yard, and nine tackles (6 solo, 3 assists) in 36 games for the Buffaloes.

Demetries Ford is five foot nine and weighs 180 pounds. The 23-year-old from South Miami, Florida, went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. Next, he signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on May 1, 2024. Ford played one preseason game against the Calgary Stampeders in 2024 making five tackles and one tackle on special teams.

The Blue Bombers released Ford on June 2, 2024. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Ford on July 14, 2024. He spent nearly two months on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Ford played one season at Youngstown State in 2019 with 24 tackles (18 solo, 6 assists), half a tackle for loss, one interception for 25 yards, and six pass breakups in 12 games for the Penguins.

Next, Ford transferred to Austin Peay University (2021-22) with 61 tackles (38 solo, 23 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, three interceptions for 49 yards, 23 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 22 games for the Governors. In 2022, he was named Third Team All-American by both Phil Steele and Associated Press, and All-ASUN Conference.

Then, Ford transferred to Arizona State in 2023 with 31 tackles (25 solo, 6 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 12 games for the Sun Devils.

Robert Kennedy is five foot ten and weighs 190 pounds. The 24-year-old from Jeannette, Pennsylvania, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024.

He played three preseason games making 12 tackles (7 solo, 5 assists), one quarterback hit, and one pass breakup. The Chargers released him on August 29, 2024. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Kennedy on September 19, 2024. He spent several weeks on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Kennedy played one season at Lackawanna College in 2019 making 34 tackles (23 solo, 11 assists), 8.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, four interceptions for 167 yards, two touchdowns, 13 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 11 games for the Falcons. He helped the Falcons appear in the NJCAA National Championship.

Next, Kennedy transferred to East Carolina University in 2020 making 13 tackles (8 solo, 5 assists) and three pass breakups in five games for the Pirates. Next, he transferred to Old Dominion (2021-22) making 54 tackles (33 solo, 21 assists), two forced fumbles, seven pass breakups, and one interception in 15 games for the Monarchs.

Kennedy concluded his collegiate career at N.C. State in 2023 making 33 tackles (13 solo, 20 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions for 57 yards, one touchdown, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 13 games for the Wolfpack.

Decorian Patterson is six foot and weighs 193 pounds. The 24-year-old from Leesburg, Florida, attended the Kansas City Chiefs rookie minicamp in 2024. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Patterson on August 27, 2024. He spent over a month on the practice squad.

Collegiately, Patterson played five seasons at Middle Tennessee State (2018-22) making 183 tackles (124 solo, 59 assists), 10 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 9 interceptions for 47 yards, 39 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one blocked punt in 50 games for the Blue Raiders. He was named an All-C-USA Honorable Mention in 2022.

Then, Patterson transferred to the University of Central Florida in 2023 making 23 tackles (20 solo, 3 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and two pass breakups in 12 games for the Knights.
