Penn State takes down UCLA to remain undefeated

The Penn State Nittany Lions (5-0) hosted the UCLA Bruins (1-4) on Saturday afternoon from Beaver Stadium. Penn State’s offense had 322 yards (237 yards passing, 85 yards rushing), and 18 first downs to beat UCLA 27-11. Penn State quarter Drew Allar completed 17 of 24 passes (71%) for 237 yards, one touchdown, and four carries for -3 yards, and one touchdown.

Running back Kaytron Allen had 21 carries for 78 yards, one touchdown, and one catch for one yard. Wide receiver Liam Clifford made three catches for 107 yards, and Tyler Warren made three catches for 29 yards, and one touchdown. Penn State’s defense made 70 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, two sacks, and three pass breakups.

UCLA had 260 yards on offense (167 yards passing, 93 yards rushing), and 14 first downs. Quarterback Justyn Martin completed 22 of 30 passes (73%) for 167 yards, one touchdown, and seven carries for -9 yards.

Running back Keegan Jones had five carries for 38 yards and made two catches for five yards. Wide receiver Logan Loya made six catches for 57 yards, and one touchdown, while Moliki Matavao made three catches for 18 yards.
