The Temple Owls (1-5) visited Pratt & Whitney Stadium on Saturday against the UConn Huskies (4-2). Temple had 270 yards on offense (136 yards passing, 134 yards rushing), and 16 first downs in a 29-20 loss.

Temple quarterback Forrest Brock completed 18 of 32 passes (56.3%) for 136 yards, one interception, nine carries for 14 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Terrez Worthy had 12 carries for 95 yards.

Wide receiver Dante Wright made eight catches for 67 yards, while John Adams made two catches for 21 yards. Temple’s defense made 85 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, three pass breakups, and one touchdown.

UConn had 371 yards on offense (272 yards passing, 99 yards rushing), and 21 first downs. Quarterback Joe Fagnano completed 24 of 41 passes (59%) for 272 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, and seven carries for -3 yards. Running back Durell Robinson had 12 carries for 52 yards and one touchdown.

Wide receiver T.J. Sheffield made 9 catches for 141 yards, and one touchdown, while Brett Buckman made three catches for 49 yards. UConn’s defense made 91 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, two fumble recoveries, four pass breakups, and one touchdown.
