The Michigan Panthers signed defensive back Akeem Dent on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Akeem Dent is six foot one and weighs 191 pounds. The 24-year-old from Pahokee, Florida, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, Dent made seven tackles (6 solo, 1 assist) in three preseason games. The Michigan Panthers drafted Dent in the seventh round (54th pick) of the 2024 UFL College Draft.
Collegiately, Dent played five seasons at Florida State (2019-23) making 185 tackles (106 solo, 79 assists), four tackles for loss, one interception, 18 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 59 games for the Seminoles. In 2023, he made 42 tackles (25 solo, 17 assists), two tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles in 10 games. He was an All-ACC Honorable Mention.
