The St. Louis Battlehawks signed linebacker Kemoko Turay on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Kemoko Turay is six foot five and weighs 248 pounds. The 29-year-old from Newark, New Jersey, was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round (52nd pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He played four seasons in Indianapolis making 33 tackles (22 solo, 11 assists), 7 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 38 games, of which three were starts. He became a free agent after the 2021 season.
The San Francisco 49ers signed Turay on April 18, 2022. In 2022, he made one tackle (1 solo) in three games. Turay also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers.
Collegiately, Kuray played four seasons at Rutgers (2014-17) making 103 tackles (54 solo, 49 assists), 20.5 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, one touchdown, and three blocked kicks in 44 games for the Scarlet Knights. He was an All-Big 10 Honorable Mention and the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America in 2014.
