The Villanova Wildcats (6-2) hosted the New Hampshire Wildcats (4-4) on Saturday afternoon from Villanova Stadium. Villanova had 257 yards on offense (112 yards passing, 145 yards rushing), and 14 first downs for a 14-6 win.

Villanova quarterback Connor Watkins completed 7 of 13 passes (54%) for 112 yards, two touchdowns, and seven carries for 30 yards. Running back David Avit had 14 carries for 59 yards. Wide receiver Devin Smith made three catches for 60 yards, and one touchdown, while Lucas Kopecky made one catch for 25 yards and one touchdown. Villanova’s defense made 80 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, and two pass breakups.

New Hampshire had 254 yards on offense (125 yards passing, 129 yards rushing), and 18 tackles for loss. Quarterback Barry Kleinpeter completed 14 of 22 passes (64%) for 125 yards, and 19 carries for 42 yards. Running back Myles Thomason had 20 carries for 79 yards and four catches for 39 yards.

Wide receiver Logan Tomlinson made four catches for 56 yards, and Caleb Burke made two catches for 12 yards. New Hampshire’s defense made 55 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
