The Michigan Panthers re-signed linebacker Javin White on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Javin White is six foot two and weighs 211 pounds. The 27-year-old from San Diego, California, signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He played four regular season games for the Raiders with four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist). In 2021, the Raiders released him and he later signed with the New York Jets.
White signed with the Chicago Bears on August 7, 2022. He played in one preseason game making two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) before he was placed on injured reserve. Then, the Michigan Panthers signed White on October 24, 2023.
In 2024, White made 40 tackles (26 solo, 14 assists), two tackles for loss, and one pass breakup in 10 games. In the USFL Conference Championship Game against the Birmingham Stallions, White made five tackles (3 solo, 2 assists), one tackle for loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception for 7 yards, and one pass breakup.
The Panthers released him on July 20, 2024, and signed with the Chicago Bears on July 21, 2024. White played four preseason games in 2024 making 7 tackles (5 solo, 2 assists). The Bears released him on August 26, 2024.
Collegiately, White played four seasons at UNLV (2016-19) with 201 tackles (124 solo, 77 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, nine interceptions for 151 yards, one touchdown, 25 pass breakups, seven forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 43 games for the Rebels.
White was an All-MWC Honorable Mention in 2019 and was named to the UNLV Football All-Decade Team at linebacker.
