The Penn State Nittany Lions (7-1) hosted the Ohio State Buckeyes (7-1) on Saturday afternoon from Beaver Stadium in a Big Ten showdown. Penn State had 270 yards on offense (150 yards passing, 120 yards rushing), and 15 first downs losing to the Buckeyes 20-13.
Penn State quarterback Drew Allar completed 12 of 20 passes (60%) for 146 yards, one interception, and 10 carries for 31 yards. Running back Kaytron Allen had 12 carries for 27 yards. Tight end Tyler Warren made four catches for 47 yards, and three carries for 47 yards, while Harrison Wallace III made two catches for 45 yards.
Penn State’s defense made 62 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, one touchdown, one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups.
Ohio State had 358 yards on offense (182 yards passing, 176 yards rushing), and 21 first downs. Quarterback Will Howard completed 16 of 24 passes (66%) for 182 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and 12 carries for 24 yards. Running back Quinshon Judkins had 14 carries for 95 yards.
Wide receiver Brandon Inniss made two catches for 33 yards, and one touchdown, while Emeka Egbuka made three catches for 31 yards, and one touchdown. Ohio State’s defense made 60 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and three pass breakups.
