The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive lineman Alex Nobles to a future contract starting in 2025 on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Alex Nobles is six foot two and weighs 245 pounds. The 24-year-old from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, attended the Miami Dolphins rookie minicamp in 2024.

Collegiately, Nobles played two seasons at North Carolina (2020-21) making two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 10 games for the Tar Heels. Then, Nobles transferred to Florida International (2022-23) making 74 tackles (50 solo, 24 assists), 16 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one blocked kick in 23 games for the Panthers.

In 2023, Nobles made 41 tackles (29 solo, 12 assists), 9.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in 12 games. He had a career-high eight tackles against UConn.
