The Michigan Panthers signed kicker B.T. Potter on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.
B.T. Potter is five foot ten and weighs 200 pounds. The 24-year-old from Rock Hill, South Carolina, signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, Potter six kickoffs for 386 yards (64.3 AVG) with four of them from inside the 20-yard line, made 2 of 3 field goals (66.7%) with a long of 43 yards and kicked three extra points in two preseason games. The Steelers released him on August 27, 2023.
Collegiately, Potter played five seasons at Clemson (2018-22) with 449 kickoffs for 28,662 yards (63.8 AVG), made 79 of 97 field goals (75.3%) with a long of 52 yards, made 234 of 235 extra points, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 69 games for the Tigers.
When his collegiate career ended, Potter tied James Skalski, Will Spiers and Will Swinney’s Clemson record for career games played (69) and matched Spiers and Swinney for the most consecutive games played (69). He is a member of the 2018 CFP National Championship team and was named a two-time Second Team All-ACC (2021-22).
