The D.C. Defenders signed quarterback Emory Jones and defensive end Jalen Harris on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page and the X account UFL Analyst.

Emory Jones is six foot two and weighs 210 pounds. The 24-year-old from La Grange, Georgia, signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2024. In 2024, Jones completed 8 of 10 passes (80%) for 102 yards, one touchdown, and one carry for eight yards in three preseason games. The Ravens released him on August 27, 2024.

Collegiately, Jones played four seasons at Florida (2018-21) completing 279 of 432 passes (65%) for 3,347 yards, 26 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, 235 carries for 1,272 yards, 10 touchdowns, two catches for 28 yards, and one touchdown in 37 games for the Gators.

Next, he transferred to Arizona State in 2022 completing 125 of 199 passes (63%) for 1,533 yards, 7 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 59 carries for 31 yards, four touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in eight games for the Sun Devils.

Then, he transferred to Cincinnati in 2023 completing 197 of 322 passes (61.2%) for 2,219 yards, 18 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 155 carries for 560 yards, four touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games for the Bearcats.

Jalen Harris is six foot four and weighs 257 pounds. The 25-year-old from Gilbert, Arizona, signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. In 2023, he made five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists), 1.5 sacks, and one pass breakup in three preseason games and made the practice squad.

The Washington Commanders signed Harris off of Chicago’s practice squad on November 20, 2023. He made six tackles (5 solos, 1 assist) and one pass breakup in five games. In 2024, Harris made four tackles (4 solos) in three preseason games. The Commanders released him on August 27, 2024.

Collegiately, Harris played six seasons at Arizona (2017-22) making 171 tackles (98 solos, 73 assists), 26 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, 11 pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 56 games for the Wildcats.
