The St. Louis Battlehawks signed defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour for the 2025 season on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Michael Dwumfour is six foot one and weighs 296 pounds. The 26-year-old from Scotch Plains, New Jersey, signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent on May 7, 2021. He played one preseason game making one tackle (1 assist), half a sack, and one pass breakup. The Jets released him on August 26, 2021.

The Houston Texans signed Dwumfour on October 13, 2021. He played one and a half seasons in Houston making 11 tackles (9 solos, 2 assists), two tackles for loss, and half a sack in 10 games, of which one was a start. The Texans released him on December 7, 2022. The San Francisco 49ers signed Dwumfour on December 13, 2022. He played two games making two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist), and one fumble recovery.

He became a free agent after the 2022 season. Dwumfour also spent time with the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans for the second time, and the Chicago Bears. The Bears signed Dwumfour on November 22, 2023. In 2024, he made two tackles (2 solos) in three preseason games. The Bears released him on August 26, 2024.

Collegiately, Dwumfour played four seasons at Michigan (2016-19) making 36 tackles (12 solos, 24 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, one interception, and three pass breakups in 34 games for the Wolverines. Then, Dwumfour transferred to Rutgers in 2020 making 25 tackles (5 solos, 20 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, and half a sack in eight games for the Scarlet Knights. He was named an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2020.
