The Penn State Nittany Lions (9-1) visited Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday afternoon against the Purdue Boilermakers (1-9). Penn State had 539 yards on offense (305 yards passing, 234 yards rushing), and 23 first downs to route the Boilermakers 49-10 for their second consecutive win.
Penn State quarterback Drew Allar completed 17 of 19 passes (89.4%) for 247 yards, three touchdowns, and four carries for 22 yards. Backup quarterback Beau Pribula completed 5 of 8 passes (62.5%) for 58 yards, one touchdown, five carries for 56 yards, and one touchdown.
Running back Nicholas Singleton had seven carries for 40 yards, one touchdown, and two catches for 20 yards, while Kaytron Allen had six carries for 40 yards, four catches for 44 yards, and one touchdown.
Tight end Tyler Warren made 8 catches for 127 yards, one touchdown, three carries for 63 yards, and one touchdown, while Harrison Wallace III made two catches for 54 yards, and one touchdown, and Luke Reynolds made three catches for 53 yards and one touchdown. Penn State’s defense made 47 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, three sacks, and three pass breakups.
Purdue had 302 yards on offense (217 yards passing, 85 yards rushing), and 16 first downs. Quarterback Hudson Card completed 11 of 21 passes (52.3%) for 151 yards, and three carries for four yards, and backup quarterback Ryan Browne completed 3 of 7 passes (42.8%) for 40 yards, and one touchdown. Running back Devin Mockobee had 11 carries for 40 yards.
Tight end Max Klare made seven catches for 91 yards, and one touchdown, while Jahmal Edrine made two catches for 48 yards. Purdue’s defense made 60 tackles and seven tackles for loss.
