The Temple Owls (3-7) hosted the Florida Atlantic Owls (2-8) on Saturday afternoon from Lincoln Financial Field. Temple had 348 yards on offense (218 yards passing, 130 yards rushing), and 18 first downs in an 18-15 overtime win over the Owls to snap a two-game losing streak.
Temple quarterback Evan Simon completed 24 of 41 passes (58.5%) for 218 yards, and seven carries for -6 yards. Running back Antwain Littleton had 13 carries for 54 yards, while Terrez Worthy had 11 carries for 35 yards, one touchdown, and three catches for 13 yards.
Wide receiver Dante Wright made 14 catches for 147 yards, and Ashton Allen made two catches for 20 yards. Temple’s defense made 50 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and two pass breakups.
Florida Atlantic had 317 yards on offense (194 yards passing, 123 yards rushing), and 17 first downs. Quarterback Kasen Weisman completed 11 of 23 passes (47.8%) for 123 yards, and two carries for 31 yards. Running back C.J. Campbell Jr. had 20 carries for 70 yards, two touchdowns, and six catches for 57 yards.
Wide receiver Jabari Smith made three catches for 38 yards, and Wyatt Sullivan made two catches for 32 yards. Florida Atlantic’s defense made 65 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, one sack, and six pass breakups.
