The Memphis Showboats signed tight end Ryan Izzo, defensive back Eli Walker, and defensive end Izayah Green-May on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Ryan Izzo is six foot five and weighs 235 pounds. The 28-year-old from Highland Lakes, New Jersey, was drafted by the Houston Roughnecks in the 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft. The Roughnecks released him on March 10, 2024.
The New England Patriots drafted Izzo in the seventh round (250th pick) in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played two seasons with the Patriots (2019-20) making 19 catches for 313 yards and one touchdown. In 2021, the Patriots traded Izzo to the Houston Texans. In addition, Izzo was on the practice squads of the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks. He played one more regular season game with the Tennessee Titans in a Week 18 game against the Houston Texans.
Izzo signed with the Carolina Panthers on August 11, 2022, but was released on August 17, 2022. The Philadelphia Stars signed Izzo as a free agent on January 5, 2023. In 2023, Izzo made two catches for 23 yards, and one touchdown in eight games
Collegiately, Izzo played four seasons at Florida State (2014-17) making 54 catches for 761 yards and six touchdowns in 41 games for the Seminoles. He was a Freshman All-America Honorable Mention in 2015.
Eli Walker is six foot two and weighs 202 pounds. The 26-year-old from Long Beach, California, was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the 2024 UFL Disposal Draft. The Stallions released him on February 14, 2024.
Walker signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He would later play for the Blues (TSL) that same year. The Pittsburgh Maulers signed Walker as a free agent on April 22, 2022. In 2022, he made 15 tackles (5 solos, 10 assists) in seven games.
In 2023, Walker made 37 tackles (25 solos, 12 assists), one sack, one interception, two fumble recoveries, two touchdowns, and three pass breakups in ten games for the Pittsburgh Maulers in 2023. In the 2023 USFL playoffs, Walker made seven tackles (6 solos, 1 assist) in two games helping Pittsburgh reach the USFL Championship Game against the Birmingham Stallions.
Collegiately, Walker played two seasons at Cerritos College (2015-16) making 117 tackles (67 solos, 50 assists), four tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four interceptions for 65 yards, and six pass breakups in 20 games for the Falcons.
Then, he transferred to Kansas State (2017-18) making 89 tackles (69 solos, 20 assists), five tackles for loss, and one sack in 23 games for the Wildcats.
Izayah Green-May is six foot six and weighs 242 pounds. A native of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Green-May signed with the Pittsburgh Maulers (USFL) on May 29, 2023. In 2023, he made one tackle (1 solo) one tackle for loss, and one sack in three games.
In the 2023 USFL playoffs, Green-May made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist). He became a free agent when the Maulers were not included in the USFL and XFL merger forming the United Football League.
Collegiately, Green-May played five seasons at Wisconsin (2017-21) making eight tackles (4 solos, 4 assists), one tackle for loss, and one sack in 31 games for the Badgers. Then, he transferred to Northern Illinois in 2022 making 34 tackles (16 solos, 18 assists), five tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries in 12 games for the Huskies.
