The Arlington Renegades signed linebacker Vincent DiLeo II and defensive back Delonte Hood on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Vincent DiLeo II is six foot two and weighs 235 pounds. The 26-year-old from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. Next, he signed with the Edmonton Elks on November 22, 2022, but was injured during training camp and the Elks released him on May 13, 2023.
Then, DiLeo II signed with the Orlando Guardians (XFL) on December 18, 2023. However, he became a free agent after the Guardians were not included in the XFL and USFL merger that formed the United Football League (UFL).
The Southwest Kansas Storm (AFL) signed DiLeo II on February 22, 2024. In 2024, DiLeo II played running back and linebacker with 32 carries for 197 yards, six touchdowns, 10 catches for 62 yards, two touchdowns, 22 tackles (17 solos, 5 assists), 5 tackles for loss, four sacks, one fumble recovery, and two pass breakups in eight games.
In the 2024 AFL playoffs, he had one carry for nine yards, five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists), and two tackles for loss. After the season DiLeo II signed with the Albany Firebirds on October 17, 2024.
Collegiately, DiLeo II played for seasons at Delaware Valley University (2016-19) making 144 tackles (86 solos, 58 assists), 34 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, 13 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one touchdown in 48 games for the Aggies.
He was named First Team All-MAC in 2019, and a two-time Second Team All-MAC (2017-18). He was a recipient of the 2020 Frank Wolfgang Scholar-Athlete Award Founder’s Day Award.
Delonte Hood is five foot eleven and weighs 192 pounds. The 24-yard-old from Washington, D.C., signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. He played three preseason games making 10 tackles (8 solos, 2 assists) and one pass breakup.
The Bengals released him on August 20, 2022. Then, Hood signed with the Denver Broncos on December 27, 2022. In the 2023 preseason, Hood made seven tackles and one pass breakup in three games. The Broncos released Hood on August 27, 2023.
The Arlington Renegades drafted Hood in the seventh round (54th pick) of the 2022 XFL Draft. He officially signed Hood on November 21, 2023. In 2024, Hood made 18 tackles (18 solo) and four pass breakups in eight games. The Renegades released him on August 5, 2024.
The Arizona Cardinals signed Hood on August 6, 2024. He played one preseason game making one tackle (1 assist). The Cardinals released him on August 26, 2024. After Arizona, Hood signed a future contract with the Toronto Argonauts on October 8, 2024.
Collegiately, Hood played two seasons at Glenville State (2018-19) making 63 tackles (45 solos, 18 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, 9 interceptions for 86 yards, one touchdown, 23 pass breakups, and one punt return for -8 yards in 22 games for the Pioneers. He was named First Team All-Mountain East Conference in 2019.
Next, Hood transferred to Toledo in 2020 playing one game against Bowling Green but did not record any stats for the Rockets. Then, Hood transferred to Peru State University in 2021 making 21 tackles (16 solos, 5 assists), one interception for 21 yards, seven pass breakups, and one blocked kick in 10 games for the Bobcats.
