The Michigan Panthers signed wide receiver Xavier Malone on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Xavier Malone is five foot nine and weighs 180 pounds. The 24-year-old from Mound Bayou, Mississippi, signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made four catches for 83 yards in three preseason games and was placed on the practice squad. The Falcons released him on October 10, 2023.
The Toronto Argonauts signed Malone on December 19, 2023. In 2024, he appeared in one preseason game against the Montreal Alouettes with one punt return for three yards. The Argonauts released him on August 28, 2024.
Collegiately, Malone played two seasons at Northeast Mississippi Community College (2018-19) with 40 catches for 693 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games for the Tigers.
Then, Malone transferred to Henderson State University (2021-22) with 135 catches for 2,352 yards, 18 touchdowns, 11 carries for 86 yards, one touchdown, and ten kick returns for 208 yards in 22 games for the Reddies. He was named Second Team All-GAC.
